If a Shrine is designated as a Mythic Shrine, it generates Fate in the same way as a regular Shrine but also possesses additional rules called Blessings. A Hero that does not meet the requirements to claim a Blessing may still claim the Mythic Shrine’s Fate.
Each Mythic Shrine grants a unique Blessing.
- The Blessing associated with a Mythic Shrine is determined by the battlefield setup.
- A Hero gaining a Mythic Shrine’s Blessing is represented on the battlefield by the corresponding 3D token that is placed near the owning Hero.
- Once the power of the Mythic Shrine Blessing is used, the token is removed.
- Mythic Shrine Blessings do not stack, so a Hero currently carrying a Blessing cannot claim another one of the same type until the initial Blessing is used.
Claiming a Blessing
When a Hero claims a Mythic Shrine’s Bounty, that Hero may claim its Blessing if they are eligible (represented by the corresponding 3D token).
Once a Blessing has been claimed, it cannot be claimed again until it resets at the start of the next Communion Phase.
If a Mythic Shrine uses random Blessings, determine the new Blessing immediately after the current Blessing has been claimed. Note this will not be active until the next Communion Phase.
All Blessings provide a once-use-only Active Ability with a cost of 0AP that the bearer may use during any of their subsequent activations.
